Summary

I’m a passionate Software Engineer with a strong background in project management. I am drawn to simple and elegant technological solutions, which is why my preferred stack is Ruby on Rails & Hotwire. I thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy delivering quick, impactful results for users.

Experience

Travel

On sabbatical, travelling Asia.

Cleo AI

  • I helped ship Cleo Pro (the new “AI tier”), turning the big AI + premium launch into something customers could actually buy and use.
  • I shipped growth work like upsell prompts/routing, upgrade CTAs, CRM touchpoints, including a reported +34% lift in Pro D7 conversion (via delayed subs).
  • I made it easy for the team to run pricing experiments by putting discounts + intro offers on reliable rails.
  • I improved the upgrade journey by adding smarter “right plan for you” recommendations that reduced friction.
  • I shipped an Upgrade Boost campaign, adding new incentive mechanics to drive upgrades while keeping downgrade/entitlement logic clean.
  • I delivered all of this in a product operating at serious scale with ~1.4M MAU, ~972k subscribers, and ~$275M ARR.

Simply Business

Took ownership over a dozen systems, such as the account management service behind 1.3 million users. Also built a product from scratch which tracks and delegates the deletion of expired data across all internal systems. Main technologies used:

  • Front-end : Hotwire (Turbo, Stimulus) to create SPA-like feeling and Tailwind CSS for better styling
  • Back-end : Ruby on Rails for main logic, Sidekiq for Async Jobs, RSpec for testing
  • Infrastructure : Kafka for communication between internal systems, AWS + Terraform + Docker + Github Actions for deployment

Other technologies I used include: React for our marketing websites, NodeJS for minimal backends, Airbrake for error monitoring, New Relic for logging, Snowflake for data warehousing, and, of course, Git & Github for version control.

Management tools used: Jira, Confluence, Slack, Notion, Miro, and Zoom.

Other responsibilities:

  • Interviewed candidates and onboarded new engineers
  • Code reviews and pair programming
  • Periodical level-ups on internal technologies and systems

Amadeus

  • Used C++ and Python as core languages in an Agile environment
  • Operated within the Customer Management side of the Departure Control System
  • Implemented new features and fixed bugs via the Scrum and Kanban methodologies
  • Translated user stories from our US partners to new functionalities, and addressed technical inconsistencies
  • All development endeavors were done on a remote Linux box that I would SSH into
  • Job required knowledge in a myriad of proprietary tools, such as airline subscription ’toggles’ or monitoring platforms

A Million Ads

  • Managed clients across EU, US and AUS, such as Intel, Skoda, McDonalds, Wickes, Papa John’s, Starbucks
  • Served as the primary campaign client contact, in addition to being the bridge between devs, sales, and creatives
  • Created Case Studies and Post Campaign Analysis docs to present findings and recommendations
  • Liaised with important industry players such as publishers, DSPs, and survey experts
  • Helped grow and retain relationships with large agency groups: OMD, Dentsu Aegis, Goodstuff, Essence, Global
